Stress is the feeling of being under too much mental or emotional pressure over a period of time may lead to feeling like you are unable to cope which can be triggered by a change or adjustment to an event in your life for example death of a loved one, job loss or divorce.
Many of life’s demands can cause stress, particularly relationships, work or money problems. When you feel stressed, it can get in the way of being able to cope with these demands, and it can affect everything else you do. Sometimes the cause of stress can be easy to spot, but other times it is not so obvious. Even positive events in life such as buying a house or getting married can be a cause of stress.
People have different ways of reacting to stress, so a situation that feels stressful to one person may not be stressful to another.
