Psychological therapies is a more in-depth form of therapy, and it can be used to address a wider range of difficulties, during therapy we provide a safe and confidential space to think about and explore any problems in your life that are causing you distress.
Psychological therapies can be used to treat a wide range of difficulties:
- Depression and Loss
- Reaction to adjustment or stress
- How you feel about yourself and others
It is a time-limited therapy that usually takes 8 sessions. We can help you to explore your thoughts, feelings and beliefs, which may involve discussing past events, such as those from your childhood.
We will help you consider how your personality and life experiences influence your current thoughts, feelings, relationships and behaviour. As well as listening and discussing important issues with you, we will also suggest strategies for resolving problems and if necessary help you to change your attitudes and behaviours.
Many people find that this understanding enables them to deal with difficult situations more effectively.
