Guided Self Help is NICE recommended treatment for anxiety and depression; we have found this approach to be very effective in helping people to recover from a variety of common problems such as low mood, lack of motivation, anxiety, panic and stress.  It is a short term talking therapy that usually is completed within 4-6 sessions and can be delivered over the telephone.

Using the telephone to deliver CBT is similar to the structure of traditional face to face contact but is more flexible. You can arrange appointments at times that are suited to you, including lunch breaks and in the evening. Telephone working saves you time and money as there is no need to travel to and from appointments. You can choose whether to be contacted at home or on your mobile. This makes it easier if you are working or have family commitments.

After an initial appointment we will provide you with some workbooks targeted at your main problem, these teach skills and techniques to help you.  In your sessions we will help guide you through the materials discuss what you’ve been learning, help you set goals and keep track of your progress.
